How To Deal With Troublemakers - A fic

So I ficced... for the first time in a long time.  Here's hoping, right?

If you woke up surrounded by doctors who told you that you'd been in a medical experiment since birth and that your entire life had been a dream, how do you think you'd react?

I'd ask who was responsible for dreaming up one of my most beloved friends, and when that person stepped forward, I'd punch that researcher for making me care so much about someone fictional who wasn't even going to be around all the time or be my love or part of my family.

Writer's Block: It's cold outside

I live in Minnesota, so it's funny to hear people in places like California complaining about the cold. What temperature is too cold for you?

I normally can handle above 40 degrees, but below 50 can be tough if there's rain.

Writer's Block: Teenage dream

If you arrived at your front door and saw your first love standing there, what would you do or say?

If we include crushes, because I've never been in love, I would probably give him a huge hug and say "Hey stranger, why're you visiting little old me?" (This is the guy I thought was cute in 4th grade.)

Man, how long has it been since I've written in this thing? Should attempt to write more.

I love my folks more than about anything in the world.  I don't know what I would do if I  ever truly disappointed them.

Veteran's Day

There are brave men and women out there who are protecting our freedom....let's take care of them shall we?

Thank God for the brave...

My hero today is Sgt. Kim Munley from Fort Hood Texas.  In spite of being injured herself, she wounded the Fort Hood shooter four times, and saved many lives on the Army base.  She's the bravest person I know.

A Tiny Pocket of Happy

I'm a chronically single kind of person.  I never dated in high school, and it doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon.  However, what I *am* finding is that I have people to run with.  This university is a larger place than I could have imagined, and honestly, the size of this place is refreshing.  I'm not sure I'm finding people exactly like me, but honestly, its not as large a concern as I thought it would be.

I'm finding that the silliest things around here make me happy, too.  Just last night, after a friend and I had dinner, we walked over to the campus music center, and he promptly found an empty practice room with a piano.  After I sat and watched for a little bit, he said "You know what, you need to learn to play "Heart and Soul" ", he sat me down on the bench, and explained to me, the singer who somehow never learned to play piano, the basic lower chords.  It was frustrating, but so much fun when I actually figured it out.  Of course, I fully intend to sneak over there some time and practice a little more, can't let it go to waste after all.

The simple fact of this is, I don't know how often I'll use this, but I want somewhere where I can put my thoughts or creative ideas and have a little feedback from others like me.  I call myself the Songstress, but only because I love singing so much.  I'm not a composer by nature.  So I guess all I'm really asking from each of you is a heart to listen to what I'm saying, that's all.
